Electronic shutter provides up to 40fps continuous; mechanical shutter provides 12fps. 6K RAW records at up to 60fps; 4K records at up to 120fps. Dual card slots. Professional weather sealing. Body weight approximately 920g without accessories, approximately 1,115g with LP-E19 battery and card.

The stacked CMOS architecture provides the readout speed required for 40fps continuous without the rolling shutter distortion of conventional BSI CMOS at sports and action frame rates. The dual DIGIC X processors handle the combined data throughput of the stacked sensor readout and simultaneous video encoding.
