The Contax RX is an autofocus SLR for the Contax/Yashica C/Y mount from Kyocera (Contax). Released 1994, combining AF capability with manual-focus C/Y lens compatibility. An advanced AF body for the C/Y system. C/Y mount.

35mm film. Autofocus (with AF lenses). Compatible with all C/Y mount lenses (manual focus with non-AF lenses). TTL metering. C/Y mount.

The Contax RX brought autofocus to the C/Y mount system while maintaining full backward compatibility with all manual C/Y lenses. A bridge between the classic manual C/Y system and modern AF operation.
