The Contax T3, introduced in 1999, is the final and most refined camera in the Contax T-series premium compact line, featuring a Carl Zeiss T* Sonnar 35mm f/2.8 lens in a titanium body. It was one of the last premium optical-viewfinder compacts produced before digital dominance and represents the pinnacle of the 35mm titanium compact genre.

Fixed Carl Zeiss T* Sonnar 35mm f/2.8 lens, aperture-priority and program auto exposure, 1/1000s maximum shutter speed, spot and centre-weighted metering, titanium body, DX-coded 35mm film, date imprint on some versions.

The T3 is considered by many collectors and film photographers as one of the finest production 35mm compact cameras ever made. The 35mm Zeiss Sonnar delivers strong sharpness and Zeiss micro-contrast, particularly at f/4–f/5.6. The titanium body is robust and refined. Single-layer vs multi-layer versions differ slightly in film path design.
