Hasselblad's first mirrorless medium format — 50MP in a compact rangefinder-style body.

The Hasselblad X1D 50C was released in 2016 as the world's first mirrorless medium-format camera with interchangeable lenses, featuring a 50MP 50-megapixel 43.8×32.9mm CMOS sensor. An historic product establishing the mirrorless medium-format segment. Hasselblad XCD mount.

50MP CMOS sensor (43.8×32.9mm — larger than 35mm full-frame). Hasselblad XCD mount. Compact, rangefinder-style body. No IBIS. No EVF (external optional). At approximately 725g. Dual card slots. Hasselblad XCD mount.

The X1D 50C was groundbreaking at launch — no mirrorless medium-format camera with interchangeable lenses had previously existed. The compact, handgrip-free design was also distinctive versus DSLR-style medium-format predecessors. The absence of a built-in EVF requires an LCD-only workflow or the external optional viewfinder accessory.

On the used market the Hasselblad X1D 50C is a historically significant medium-format mirrorless body. Condition checks: XCD mount contacts and lens fit precision, 50MP sensor for dust (large sensor area makes dust very visible), dual card slots, battery health. Succeeded by the X1D II 50C with improved AF and EVF.
