The Leica SL2-S was released in December 2020 as the video-optimised variant of the SL2, using a 24.6MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor optimised for higher video frame rates and lower-light performance rather than the SL2's 47.3MP resolution. 4K/60fps and 5K video are available. 5-axis IBIS provides approximately 5.5 stops of stabilisation. The L-Mount provides full compatibility with the Leica, Panasonic LUMIX S, and Sigma FP lens ecosystems. Body weight approximately 850g.
