Minolta Vectis 100 — mid-range APS film compact with autofocus zoom, from Minolta's 1990s Vectis system

The Minolta Vectis 100 is a fixed-lens compact from Minolta's Vectis range, built for the Advanced Photo System (APS) that Minolta helped launch in 1996. It sat mid-range in a lineup from basic Vectis 10/20/30 models up to the Vectis S-1/S-100 SLRs, for buyers wanting easier film handling than 35mm compacts.

It uses APS cassettes that load and rewind automatically, allowing mid-roll switching between Classic, HDTV and Panoramic print formats. The body has a built-in autofocus zoom lens and pop-up flash (listings tagging it 'BF' likely mean built-in flash), automatic DX film-speed reading, and a small LCD panel.

APS traded negative size for loading convenience and magnetic-strip print data, novel in 1996 but limiting enlargement quality next to full 35mm frames. The Vectis 100 stays toward the simple end of that system, favouring ease of use over the manual controls on Minolta's Vectis SLR bodies.
