Historically significant Minolta XD-7, the world's first dual aperture/shutter-priority AE SLR with Leica-influenced design.

The Minolta XD-7 is a landmark 35mm film SLR for the Minolta MD mount — the world's first camera with both aperture-priority AND shutter-priority AE modes, introduced 1977. Also known as the XD-11 (USA) and XD (UK). A historic camera. Minolta MD mount.

35mm film. Aperture-priority AE AND shutter-priority AE (first in a camera). Manual exposure. TTL metering. Co-developed with Leitz. Minolta MD mount.

The XD-7 is genuinely significant in camera history — it introduced dual-mode AE that all modern cameras take for granted. The co-development with Ernst Leitz GmbH resulted in premium build quality. The Leica Minolta CL and CLE are related systems. A collector's choice.
