Unique portrait telephoto with Defocus Control for adjustable bokeh rendering, fast f/2 aperture, and classic Nikon optics.

The Nikon AF DC Nikkor 135mm f/2D is a fast portrait telephoto prime with DC (Defocus Control) — a unique feature allowing manual adjustment of the spherical aberration balance in out-of-focus areas. D = distance encoder. AF screw-drive. Nikon F mount.

f/2 maximum aperture. 135mm focal length (full-frame). DC (Defocus Control) ring — adjusts spherical aberration correction towards foreground or background bokeh. D distance encoder. AF (screw-drive). At approximately 815g. 72mm filter thread. Nikon F mount.

The DC ring is unique — dialling towards R (rear) softens background bokeh; dialling towards F (front) softens foreground bokeh. Strongest effect at wide apertures (f/2-f/2.8). Provides creative control over bokeh character beyond what aperture alone achieves. A highly regarded portrait telephoto.
