Nikon's F3 with High-eyepoint prism — same as ID 1011 with HP viewfinder for eyeglass wearers.

The Nikon F3 HP is the high-eyepoint variant of the Nikon F3 professional 35mm SLR, released approximately 1982. HP = High Point — provides 25mm eyepoint distance enabling eyeglass wearers to see the full viewfinder frame. Nikon's first electronically-controlled shutter professional body. Nikon F mount.

35mm film SLR. Electronically-controlled titanium shutter to 1/2000s (battery dependent for most speeds; mechanical 1/60s fallback without battery). HP finder (25mm high-eyepoint). AI-coupled TTL meter. At approximately 760g. Nikon F mount.

The F3's electronically-controlled shutter provides more precise timing than the mechanical F2. The HP finder is particularly useful for photographers wearing eyeglasses. The F3 remained in production until 2001 — one of the longest production runs for any professional 35mm SLR.
