The Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 Ai-S is a fast manual-focus normal prime from Nikon's Ai-S (Automatic indexing shutter) era, featuring f/1.2 maximum aperture — one stop faster than the standard f/1.4 Nikkor. Designed for available-light and low-light photography on Nikon film SLRs. Nikon F mount.

f/1.2 maximum aperture. 50mm focal length. Ai-S coupling (CPU-less, aperture-coupled manual). Seven elements in six groups. 52mm filter thread. At approximately 280g. Manual focus only. Nikon F mount.

The Ai-S designation indicates compatibility with Nikon's shutter-speed-priority mode via the Ai-S aperture coupling cam.
