Olympus C-120 — entry-level Camedia digital compact camera, early 2000s

The C-120 sat at the entry level of Olympus's Camedia range in the early 2000s, aimed at first-time digital camera buyers wanting a simple, affordable alternative to film compacts. It followed the pattern of Olympus's most basic C-series models built for point-and-shoot use.

Exact sensor resolution for the C-120 is not well documented, but like other budget Camedia compacts it used a small CCD sensor, a fixed or very limited zoom lens, automatic exposure, and a small rear LCD for composition and review. Images stored to removable flash memory cards.

It offered little beyond automatic point-and-shoot operation, with no manual controls to speak of, making it a camera built for ease of use rather than creative flexibility. It represents the cheapest tier of Olympus's early digital lineup.

Values are minimal today and surviving units vary widely in condition; check that the lens and autofocus operate without hesitation, that the LCD is free of dead pixels, and that the camera reads current memory cards reliably.
