Compact Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera body.

The Panasonic Lumix GX1, released in 2011, is a rangefinder-style Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera featuring a 16MP CMOS sensor and Panasonic's Venus Engine VI processor. It was one of the first compact system cameras to match DSLR-level image quality in a slim rangefinder body, establishing the GX-series design language.

The GX1 is a capable MFT body for photographers who prefer a compact, low-profile form factor. The lack of a built-in EVF is its main limitation; an external EVF (LVF2 or similar) is available as an accessory. Full MFT lens compatibility makes it practical for use alongside modern MFT lenses from Panasonic and Olympus.

Test all exposure modes. Check the tilting LCD hinge. Verify MFT mount lens engagement. Confirm the EVF accessory port is undamaged if an external EVF is intended. Check battery charge capacity — older GX1 batteries may have reduced capacity.
