The smc Pentax-FA 28-200mm f/3.8-5.6 AL[IF] is an autofocus superzoom Pentax produced for its KAF-mount film SLRs of the mid-1990s, such as the PZ-1 and MZ series. It was pitched as a one-lens travel solution, covering wide-angle to short telephoto in a single compact autofocus barrel.

The optical formula uses 16 elements in 14 groups, including an aspherical (AL) element, with internal focusing (IF) driven by the camera's in-body screwdrive motor.
