The Pentax Optio RX18 was a budget travel compact released by Pentax Ricoh Imaging in the early 2010s, a close sibling to the Optio RZ18 sharing the same body and controls. It targeted buyers wanting a long zoom in a pocketable point-and-shoot without moving up to a bridge camera.

It uses a 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor delivering 16 effective megapixels through a 25-450mm equivalent lens with 18x optical zoom, an unusually long range for its class. Images are composed on a 3.0-inch, 460,000-dot TFT LCD, with stills saved to SD, SDHC or SDXC cards, powered by a rechargeable D-LI92 battery.
