The Pentax Takumar 200mm f/4 is a manual-focus telephoto prime for M42 screw mount, produced from approximately 1965 (Super-Takumar, single-layer coating) through the early 1970s (SMC Takumar, multi-coating). Five elements in 5 groups. Six aperture blades. 58mm filter thread. At approximately 560g. 2.5m MFD.

The Super-Takumar 200mm f/4 (1965) and SMC Takumar 200mm f/4 (1971+) share the same five-element optical design — the designation difference reflects coating generation: Super-Takumar uses single-layer coating while SMC Takumar uses Super-Multi-Coating for improved flare and contrast performance. Both variants use M42 screw mount and the same 58mm filter thread.
