Petri (Kuribayashi Camera Co.) was a Japanese manufacturer active from the 1950s through the 1970s, known for the Petri Penta and Petriflex SLR series using the company's own breech-lock bayonet mount. The 135mm f/3.5 was a telephoto option for Petri SLR owners alongside the standard kit lens.

The lens uses Petri's proprietary breech-lock bayonet fitting, unique to Petri bodies and not interchangeable with other manufacturers' mounts. It has an automatic diaphragm, a metal focus barrel with distance markings, and coated optics typical of mid-1960s to 1970s Japanese telephoto primes.
