Petri (Kuribayashi Camera Co.) sold the 55mm f/2 as a standard kit lens for its Petri Penta and Petriflex SLR bodies during the 1960s and 1970s, positioned below the company's faster f/1.8 standard lens in the range. It used Petri's own breech-lock bayonet mount.
