The Sony SLT-A77 was released in 2011 as the flagship APS-C SLT (Single-Lens Translucent) body, featuring a 24.3MP Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor and 12fps continuous shooting via the translucent mirror design. 1080/60fps video (AVCHD 2.0). NP-FM500H battery. At approximately 732g with battery and card. Sony A-mount.

24.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor (23.5×15.6mm). 1080p at 60/50/24fps (AVCHD 2.0, up to ~28 Mbps); 1080i60/50. 12fps continuous shooting with full AE/AF. 19-point AF. NP-FM500H battery. Approximately 732g with battery and card. Sony A-mount.

The SLT translucent mirror design enables the A77's 12fps continuous with live AF: unlike a standard DSLR mirror that must swing up between frames (interrupting the AF system), the SLT's fixed translucent mirror passes light continuously to both the image sensor and the phase-detection AF module. The cost is reduced light transmission (approximately 1/3 stop lost to the translucent mirror).

On the used market the Sony SLT-A77 is affordable as a vintage APS-C SLT body. Condition checks: NP-FM500H battery health, 12fps continuous AF function, A-mount contacts. Compatible with all Sony A-mount lenses.
