The FE 24mm f/2.8 G is part of the G compact prime trio (24mm / 40mm / 50mm f/2.8 G) released simultaneously: the trio shares 49mm filter thread, similar 162-174g weight range, and de-clickable aperture rings for video use. At 162g the 24mm is the lightest full-frame 24mm option for Sony FE. The de-clickable ring enables silent aperture pulls during video recording.
