The Tokina RMC 17mm f/3.5 is a vintage ultra-wide prime from the 1980s era of Tokina's RMC (Resin Multi Coating) product line, before Tokina adopted the AT-X naming convention. Designed for 35mm film SLR cameras in Nikon F mount with manual focus only.

f/3.5 maximum aperture. 17mm ultra-wide focal length. Nikon F mount — manual focus only (no AF). Multi-coated optics (RMC designation). Full-frame coverage for 35mm film. Approximately 72mm filter thread.

The RMC coating designation was Tokina's approach to reducing flare and improving contrast in multi-element wide-angle designs. As a vintage 17mm, the lens exhibits characteristics typical of wide-angle film-era optics: strong barrel distortion at 17mm, moderate vignetting at f/3.5, and improved performance when stopped down to f/5.6-f/8. Compatible with Nikon F-mount digital DSLRs and mirrorless bodies via FTZ adapter in manual focus.
